2 years of Death Trips

Hello there! Today it’s been two years since I released Death Trips and I want to thank all of you for your support throughout all this time. Even to this day, I still receive comments, appreciations and donations from a lot of people, and I can't express enough how much it means to me. I am so thankful for everything.

The idea and intentions for this game were very simple and small: just a little joke. I gave myself two days to make this game and publish it just to see how that works with no more expectation than a single comment at most. But eventually, a lot of people started playing it and it turned out to be a micro-viral game, claimed by a lot of players and youtubers. Before I could realise there was already a reaction compilation of my game. It 's nuts! I still can’t comprehend it (in a good way).

Some people asked me about my plans for making a sequel or turning the game into a bigger thing, but I dismissed that idea long ago. The whole point of the game is the joke, so I think expanding it wouldn't provide anything relevant. So as you could imagine, there are no plans to work on this anymore.

However, I wanted to celebrate this anniversary and give some little appreciation for you, so I opened up a backup copy of the project, made some (very small) key tweaks and exported it to Windows, Mac and Linux in order to allow as many people as possible to play the game (I couldn’t do actual testing so I’m sorry if you find any platform dependant bugs).

I've released "Death Trips EP" as well, which contains the piece you can hear on the radio and an extended version of the credits music, and can be downloaded for free (I ran out of keys so I had to put a small price on it, sorry!) right here.

Also, as some of you may know, I recently joined the indie team Croxel Studios. We are looking forward to making experimental and meaningful games and I’m very excited for our future projects. So in case you want to know more about my new works and ideas don’t forget to follow us.

In any case, thank you for all your continuous support. These two years have been crazy for me and this experience has helped me a lot. Thank you for these two years and happy Halloween!

Thank you for this small yet hilarious game! I wouldn't mind a sequel (with a different unexpected twist) or an actual full length game with this story, but I understand you wanting to leave it how it is.

Still, this is one of my favorite games to share with friends for the unexpected twist and the conversion of fear into sudden comedy. Great work!

Thanks a lot! <3

can you make your game free?

the game is already free
